Milian recorded two tracks for the soundtrack of Be Cool, a sequel to Get Shorty starring John Travolta and Uma Thurman. Then, she was named the main character in Pulse along with Kristen Bell. Wes Craven & Ray Wright adapt from the Japanese Kairo (2001) film for this remake. The filming of the movie occurred in Romania which proved to be traumatic for Milian. She was subject to discrimination based on race, as well as discovering her ex-boyfriend Nick Cannon had cheated on her. Milian played in two videogames. It was extremely successful commercially and earned around eleven times the budget. It was also appreciated by the critics. In the three sequels in which she was a part-time actress, she played the same role. Her fame soared to new heights after she played a main role in the popular sitcom Friends. She was awarded and nominated for several times. The show that was a huge success, ran for ten seasons. In her most recent work she was a key supporting role in Mothers and Daughters. She won the TV Guide Award in recognition of her work on Friends as well as the Golden Derby Award in recognition for her part in Cougartown.
